Our Process
Discovery Call
We begin with a relaxed, no obligation to proceed 15 minute discovery call to learn more about your project, timeline, answer any initial questions you may have & determine if we are the right fit for each other.
Consultation
During the one & a half hour consultation, we'll walk through your space, take notes, measurements, photos, share ideas, discuss challenges & gather any information we need to prepare a proposal for your project. It's the time to have an open conversation about all the possibilities.
Also, if you're not completing a full scale design project or renovation & want to go it alone but need that extra reassurance your on the right path, then this is for you. It's your chance to get fast tracked personalised design advice.
Proposal
After our time together, we'll prepare a detailed proposal to outline the scope of work & tentatively hold a commencement date for your project. Once we have your approval, we'll send an invoice to officially confirm your spot on our design calendar.
Design Development
We kick off the project with conceptual design using visual mood boards & physical sample viewing to illustrate our recommendations. We may also explore space planning, furniture layout, colour & fabric palettes, furniture & lighting suggestions & other architectural recommendations. We present these to you for your approval along with provisional lead times & budgets so you can make informed decisions before we move to final documentation & procurement.
Documentation & Procurement
Once we have your approval of the concept, each element of the design is thoughtfully selected & documented. The documentation produced during this stage details all of the works required, so contractors can use them for quotation purposes. If Life House is seeing the project through to completion as a client liaison role we can obtain comparative quotes from specialist trade contacts & complete site meeting with contractors as needed.
Execution
Depending on the scope of works, as part of a team of contractors or solo, we will oversee every aspect of your project including timing, scheduling, co-ordination of trades, site meetings, site installation & quality control.
